This line is part of a conversation between Bard Jaskier (also known as Dandelion) and Geralt. Geralt’s mission is to kill a devil who has caused disturbances. The devil actually turns out to be a sylvan that protects important elves.

Their journey appears to have an unfortunate end when they are captured by the “devil.” Fortunately, they are ultimately spared by the elves. Immediately thereafter, Jaskier begins to sing a song about this adventure that distorts the truth, to which Geralt responds “Where’s your newfound respect?”. Jaskier, who has meanwhile respected the elves, makes it clear that his priority is to help Geralt make history and then respond with the famous line “respect doesn’t make history”.

2. “Evil Is Evil…Lesser, Greater, Milling. It’s All The Same”

This is a great line that people everywhere on internet use as a funny meme sound effect. The words, ”You, a Mother”, actually come from a pretty serious conversation between Yennefer and Geralt. This because, Yennefer has been sterilized during the transformation to the ‘beauty’ that she is today. To become fertile again, she must kill a green dragon and cut out his heart to use it in a curse.
